Arrival Program
Description
inlingua's Arrival in the U.S. Training gives individuals or families the information and help needed to make living and working in the U.S. a success. Following a needs assessment, a specific program is developed consistent with the experience and needs of the individual or family (Basic Program). Special program sections are oriented to the needs of the transferee, the non-working spouse, teenagers and children. If so desired an optional extended program is available on an hourly basis to provide direct on-location assistance by an individual who speaks the transferee's language. For more information, view the program outline.

Program Length
The basic program lasts one day; the extended program is available on an hourly basis for completing selected activities.

Training Methods / Materials
Training consists of a combination of lecture, discussion, role play and demonstrations; the extended program includes actual performance of the selected activities. A customized program manual is provided to each participant.

Program Leaders
The basic training is conducted by one or more leaders with experience living outside the U.S., a national of the target country now living in the U.S. and an American with experience living in the target culture; the extended portion of the program is provided by a person who both speaks the language of the transferee and knows the local area.
