Children / Teenager Program
Description
inlingua offers a special program for children and teenagers to help them adjust to an international move. The program is offered in conjunction with either the Pre-Departure Training or the Arrival Training (available to the parents). The programs are designed to be informative and fun. For more information, view the program outline. Program Length The basic program lasts half a day; it can be joined with language training to make a full day. Training Methods / Materials Training consists of a combination of role play, demonstrations, games, treasure hunts, exercises and other techniques. A variety of approaches are used to keep the program fresh and fun. Use of OSCAR, the green dinosaur, is an integral part of the children's program. The depth of coverage and approach differ considerably between the teenager and children's programs. A customized program book is provided to each participant. Program Leaders The training is conducted by a leader and one or more specialists with experience both with growing up in different cultures and in going to school both in and outside their home cultures. The trainers have a history of working with children. Participants The children/teenager of transferred individuals or couples. The age range for the children's program is 6 to 12 and the teenager's program is 13 to 17. |
